For the collector or connoisseur of beautiful baskets, we offer two beautifully crafted nesting sets of baskets. Our small set, consisting of six perfectly proportioned baskets, range in size from a 3” up to an 8”. These baskets have cane staves and are woven in cane. The bases and handles are cherry. The handles are slotted and attached to the basket with brass ears. The outer (or 8”) basket is finished with four ivory “feet.” Our largest nesting set consists of seven baskets, ranging in size from 3” to 12”. Each basket is one and a half inches larger than the next. This set is crafted from hand split cherry staves and woven with cane. The handcrafted cherry handles each have an overlay of scrimshawed ivory. The scrimshaw was done by Sandi Beauleiu, of Acushnet, Massachusetts. Over time, this set of baskets has developed a beautiful patina, as only Nantucket baskets can achieve.
These six perfectly proportioned baskets are made with cherry bases and handles; brass ears; and cane bodies. The baskets range from 3” to 8” in 1” increments. The perfect set of baskets for the avid Nantucket basket collector.

This set of baskets, created in 2004, and in 2007 were awarded the Award of Excellence at the Winter Park (Florida) Sidewalk Art Festival. They each have an overlay of scrimshaw ivory with a delicate floral pattern. The baskets are constructed with cherry staves and woven with cane. The handles are attached with ivory domes and the bottom basket has a set of ivory feet to stand on. The baskets range from 3” diameter to 12” in 1 ½” increments. This set of baskets has developed a beautiful, rich brown patina which will only get deeper with time.
